The appeal of travel is clearly present in the majority of us Homo Sapiens, but sometimes our everyday lives somehow finds ways to cock-block our travel aspirations to be realized. So this is why this post of mine will be dedicated to reinvigorate your plans to make plans to go out there and travel! I have compiled a list of videos/ channels that I personally find incredibly entertaining, inspirational, and that are sure to get you fired up to your next travel destination. Watch and enjoy these pieces of happiness~
1- Peter Bragiel in Caye Caulker, Belize (inTransit: Episode 14)
In this video host Peter Bragiel stops in Caye Caulker, Belize on his route that started from Los Angeles, California, U.S.A., heading to the Panama Canal. Peter made his way to the Panama Canal solely through public transportation, which in part gave his documented experiences such a gritty & humble feel to the videos.
Peter has also created many more original travel videos on his YouTube channel, including another long journey well-documented; a trip across Russia via the Trans-Siberian Railway starting in Vladivostok, Russia, and ending in Moscow, Russia.
2- Not only is the below’s video of YouTuber Louis Cole inspiration to travel, but to me and hopefully you it is inspirational to be a better being, and to explore all walks of life. Enjoy Louis’s vlog in Kenya!
3- Nadine Sykora definitely is one of my favorite travel YouTubers, and I almost guarantee that her endless positivity and high-energy personality will keep you watching her videos until you’ve gone through all of them! This is her video of her travel to Koh Tao, Thailand, and it will most likely get you into that adventurous mood.
4- Here in this trip to Costa Rica, the utterly stunning Mimi Ikonn shows us a bit of this tropical paradise. Well documented and beautifully filmed, this trip will make you want to get out and explore our beautiful Mother Earth.
5- How to save and get the MOOLA that we need to travel! Yes it’s not exactly a travel video, but it makes it into my “Top 10 Travel Videos” because it is of great value when planning to travel. My girl Nadine breaks it down on how to save and gain some green for your adventurous aspirations.
6- Now for the gorgeous Sonia, who documented a lovely video of my FAVORITE CITY ON EARTH: RIO DE JANEIRO, RJ, Brazil! If you have read some of my posts from my year of living in Brazil, you would know of my love for Rio de Janeiro. It’s a fantastic, lively, beautiful, and welcoming city that was captured adorably in her lovely video. Sonia’s YouTube channel also has many more travel videos and helpful travel tips, so go on and check her out!
7- And for a little comedy, here comes Conan O’Brien’s (CONAN) hilarious travel to Cuba, and the time of him trying to learn to dance Cuban Rumba. I definitely LMAO’D, and am truly yearning to visit Cuba to have an experience much like Conan’s. A true must-see.
8- “ShamelessMaya” is a YouTuber whose videos I really do enjoy watching, and her video on what to do in New York will get you feelin’ like you need to walk a bit in the shoes of this New Yorker.
9- If y’alls are feeling up to experience un peu d’aventure, the lovely Kristen Sarah will take you with her on her video of her trip to the ever so elegant Marseille, France.
10- Alright, I have saved the best for last: another Peter Bragiel inTransit video! This is my favorite travel video I have seen so far in this oh-so-long life of mine. It should serve as a reminder as to how traveling really does not have to have anything to do with glitz and glamour, and how sometimes your most remarkable travel experiences can be the simplest of ones. Peter’s experience of visiting nomadic families in the countryside of Mongolia is beautiful in its simplicity, and to go on a trip similar to his is now marked on my bucket list.
So there you have it, my list of the top 10 travel videos out there! I hope that some inspiration to explore this wonderful planet has made it your way.
Also from here on out, all of my future posts will have a random/ trivial fact put at the end! Here’s this post’s trivial fact:
The first president of Zimbabwe was President Banana. A law was passed forbidding citizens to make fun of his name.
